SmartStrand Carpet Pad: Celebrating Comfort and a Good Cause

Carpet is an investment that can be enhanced by the right carpet pad. A high-quality carpet pad is more than just a soft layer. It can significantly impact durability, comfort, and even indoor air quality. Today, we're diving into the world of SmartStrand carpet pad and exploring not only how it measures up in performance, but also its meaningful connection to the Susan G. Komen organization. SmartStrand carpet pad has been trusted by our estimators, installers, and customers for years - and for a good reason.

The Foundation of a Great Floor: What Makes SmartStrand Pad Stand Out?

The SmartStrand carpet pad is designed to complement your new SmartStrand carpet. At Havertown Carpet Co., we stock a variety of Mohawk SmartStrand carpet. We recommend using SmartStrand carpet pad for a number of reasons.

• Superior Comfort and Support: You will notice the difference underfoot immediately. SmartStrand pad is technologically advanced to be noticeably more cushioned, making your home a more comfortable place to relax and live.
• Enhanced Durability for Your Carpet: A high quality carpet pad acts as a shock absorber, protecting your carpet from the constant impact of foot traffic. The SmartStrand pad's resilience helps extend the life of your carpet by preventing the fibers from flattening or breaking down prematurely. This means your carpet will look newer for longer, saving you money in the long run.
• Improved Insulation and Noise Reduction: A dense, high-quality carpet pad can offer excellent thermal insulation, helping to keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer, potentially leading to energy savings. Additionally, it acts as a sound barrier, reducing noise between floors and creating a quieter, more peaceful living environment.
• Moisture Barrier Protection: SmartStrand pads come with a built-in moisture barrier that protects your subfloor from spills and accidents. This barrier prevents liquids from soaking through to the pad and subfloor, making cleanup easier and preventing potential mold and mildew growth.
• Eco-Friendly Options: Many SmartStrand pads are made with recycled materials, reflecting a commitment to sustainability. This means you can enjoy a comfortable and durable carpet foundation while also making an environmentally conscious choice.

A Partnership with Purpose: Benefiting Susan G. Komen

Beyond its impressive performance, the SmartStrand carpet pad also carries a powerful social impact. Through a dedicated partnership, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of SmartStrand carpet pad is donated to the Susan G. Komen organization.

Susan G. Komen is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to fighting breast cancer through research, community health programs, and advocacy. By choosing a SmartStrand carpet pad, you're not just investing in the comfort and longevity of your home; you're also contributing to a vital cause.

This past October 2025, Havertown Carpet Co. was awarded the Mohawk Pink Ribbon Partner Award from Mohawk Industries and Susan G. Komen. Supporting Susan G. Komen is personal for us, and we are proud supporters of the fight against breast cancer all year long. Check out our announcements and videos on our social media pages here and here.
